Dindigul District - An Overview

Dindigul District is one of the leading districts of Tamilnadu state. It has some seven taluks as follows
1.) Dindigul
2.) Palani
3.) Kodaikanal
4.) Nilakottai
5.) Batlagundu
6.) Vedasandur
7.) Natham

1.) Dindigul Taluk:
Industries:
Main Industries at Dindigul are as follows Lock Industry, Leather Tannery, Rice Mills, Weaving and other allied industry
Places of Worship:
a.)Kottai Mariamman Temple standing over 200 years is the biggest place of attraction. Festival that happens in the tamil month of Masi is celebrated by all communities. Its a fifteen days long festival and attracts lakhs and lakhs of people in and around Dindigul.
b.) Abhirami Amman Temple standing over 200 years is another famous temple in the vicinity. Having Lord Kalahastheeswara and Shri Abhirami Amman as main deity its a blissful place to worship
